Guy at my work got told he couldn't combine that with rebates. I'm pretty sure when I had the dealer price me out a car they did both the rebates AND the X-Plan for me. Did he get lied to?

From what I've heard/read it depends on the dealership. They can refuse to sell you the car with X-Plan and rebates, but then they just don't get the sale.

Ah ok, I did have a really awesome sales person and if I ever need a NEW Ford, I will be getting it from him. He lived up to exactly none of the stereo types that I encounter with most of his colleagues. Zero pressure, very calm, not pushy and happy to let you take test rides.

every time I try and do z-plan (same thing basically) and I always have problems. But I know that if a dealership does z-plan it's for everyone and it's all rebates that are on the car As well

Its up to the dealer, but he should contact other dealers. When I went looking for my mustang GT, no dealer in the area would let me by one with X-Plan. (this was the end of 2005, and GTs did not stay on the lots long. I called around and found a middle of nowhere/country dealership that got me exactly what I wanted at the X-Plan price. Well worth the extra hour and half drive to get there.

Isn't that nice? Had the same experience buying my FoST from a dealer. The sales guy AND finance guy were both very nice and not pushy. I of course did some haggling for the price, but after it was solidified, it was all smooth sailing taking delivery.

Haha, yeah, I actually feel bad for NOT buying a car from this guy because my experience was that good. But I couldn't pass up a lightly used SHO at roughly the same price as the new Fusions and Taurii I was looking at.

Got x plan, rebate and apr on a stang. When I did it the dealer could refuse the sale but not pick and choose incentives. GM supplier pricing did that when you brought in gm bucks from their credit card.
